Ronald Wong, P.Eng.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Ron initiated his engineering career with Muller (NZ) Ltd., a major air conditioning equipment manufacturer in 1979 representing the firm in Auckland, New Zealand.

 

In 1980, he joined the engineering firm of Pomeroy Engineering Ltd., a mechanical, structural and civil engineering firm, as a Junior Engineer and gained extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design requirements. He managed the mechanical department from 1985 to 1995.  Projects include Educational, Institutional, Ice Arenas, Commercial, and Care Facilities.

 

In 1995, he joined the Dominion Company as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and became Technical Director of the Mechanical Division in 1998.  During his time at Dominion, Ron headed up the design for many Home Depot Stores across Canada, including design/build for the Coquitlam City Hall and the Public Safety buildings and tenant improvement for many office tower projects.

 

In May, 1998, Ron joined Sterling, Cooper & Associates as a Senior Engineer/Sub-Consultant. He directed and designed Residential & Commercial Towers, Office Towers, Hotels, Laboratories and Ice Arena projects.

In 2002 the firm of Ron Wong & Associates Inc. was established. Ron is the Principal of the company. Ron’s current work includes Commercial, Office, School, Multi-story Residential, Hotel, including new construction and retrofit projects.
